Categorizing & organizing your home can be overwhelming, especially if you’re attempting to revolutionize it after years of not doing it. Although I personally love creating organizational systems & utilizing storage solutions, I realize that’s not true for everyone–some people find it very tedious.

If things have gotten out of hand in your home & you’re not quite sure what to do about it, never fear! In today’s post, I’ve put together a list of the top organizers I’d recommend to address “countertop chaos.” I know for myself, having these makes all the difference in my day-to-day and especially if I’m hosting a party or dinner and I need as much counterspace as I can get.

Depending on your situation, you might need to hype yourself up for this overhaul. But I’m of the mind that any time spent implementing organizational systems, especially in your home, is time well spent. Having the right organizers and systems does a few things:

  • saves you time since you know where things are
  • makes them more accessible/easier to grab
  • the space looks neater
  • it allows you to see how much space you actually have to work with.
    • Clutter tends to distort our perception of space. Clean spaces look bigger!
  • You can easily direct your significant other, kids, guests, etc. to where things are, which is especially great if you’re trying to enlist their help with something.

If you’re interested, I also did posts on “hidden” organizers and pantry organization.

1. Cutting Board Holder

I love that the front of this cutting board holder looks like a house (so cute)! More than that, I appreciate that it holds my cutting board set and is super stable. Before I got this, I sort of angled them against the wall on the countertop but they kept falling over. Each section has the right amount of space, making it easy to grab your cutting boards when you need them. Multiple colors available.

2. Expandable Shelf Organizer

I referenced this expandable shelf organizer in my Tidy Pantry Essentials post since that is where I currently use mine but this could also be used on a countertop! If you find your current setup is taking up too much counterspace, building up is always a good option and this shelf helps you to do just that.

3. Corner Shelf

I have one of these corner shelves inside my kitchen cabinets to hold dishes. However, if you have a bare corner on your countertop you’re trying to fill (you can even put some cute decor pieces on it!) or have some dishware you want handy, this is a great way to do that.

4. Large Breadbox

I was looking for a nice breadbox for a long time and I’m so glad I got this one! The wood tone goes perfectly with my kitchen cabinets and countertop design, it has excellent storage capacity, & the glass windows make it looks elevated & attractive. It also comes with bread tongs that I leave on top. You could also put them inside the breadbox (if you have enough room) and put nice succulents, dishes, or other decorative pieces on top. Comes in a double level, single level, & multiple wood finishes.

5. 3-Tier Produce Organizer

This three-tiered produce organizer is generally used to hold a bunch of fruit & vegetables. I use mine for potatoes on the bottom (since they take up a lot of space and I usually get 5lb bags) and onions & garlic on top. Originally, I was putting my onions in the fridge but then I read you’re actually not supposed to store them that way. Mind blown! I find they do last longer on the countertop anyways & because I go through them so fast, it’s helpful to be able to see when I’m running low. Definitely recommend this as another “storing up” option.

6. K-Cup Carousel

This K-Cup Carousel Organizer is the perfect complement to my compact Keurig (which is also black)! This thing holds 35 k-cup pods and spins so easily. I actually split it half & half with my k-cups and these delicious tea k-cup pods. Definitely makes my morning commute to the ol’ home office much more seamless. This also comes into multiple finishes.

6. Tea Bag Carousel

This carousel I got for my tea bags! So nice to have a little corner dedicated to my hot, comforting beverages with everything I need. It holds the standard size tea bags, spins 360 degrees just like the coffee one, and no assembly required. This one is small enough to fit well in my overhead cabinet.

7. Sink Caddy

This sink caddy is the perfect size & has inserts to keep your sponges & brushes organized. It also has a little spout to let any water run back into your sink, reducing mess.

8. Microwave Shelf

If you have your microwave on a cart or the countertop, this microwave shelf can certainly help to organize any toppings, condiments, appliances, or other kitchen tools nearby. You can also add some decorations to make it pretty!

9. Paper Plate & Utensil Caddy

This paper plate & utensil caddy is so helpful for hosting! Room for everything you need: dinner & dessert plates, utensils, cups, and straws if need be! It looks nice & helps your guests to know where all of those things are.

10. Produce Baskets

These produce baskets can be used on the countertop or be mounted on the wall. They’re similar to the wire baskets above but I liked this once because of the hooks for mugs, dish towels, or oven mitts.

11. Lazy Susan Turntable

And last but not least, the classic Lazy Susan. Comes in multiple colors and truly, I have several. I use them on my countertop and in my cabinets. They’re stable and help you get to everything easily. I currently use them for my vitamins, one for more cooking basics (oils, salt & pepper, vinegars), and extra sauces like worcestershire, tamari, etc.

Hope you found this helpful.
